Hi all,

After 25 years of waiting finally picked up my first Morgan today. For years I used to hang around Phaeton garage in Emsworth near me and became pretty attached to a Plus 8 that used to be stored there.

Cut a long story short, fell for a new Plus 8 at Beamish Morgan. Drove him back to Sussex and am blown away by how good the car is. Great for touring but am very impressed by how hard it goes when you put the hammer down and how well it handles too. Just over 1000kg and 360 hp makes for a lot of fun! Brakes are amazing as well. Have had it sideways a couple of times already.. smile What's impressed me most though is the playful chassis.

Got a little gallery here, some pics from today and from the for sale ad.

I'd say that was worth the 25 year wait.

Beautiful. Well done!

Cheers all!

One thing I noticed on the way home is that when I blip on a downshift, the lights get brighter..

Any ideas, is this a voltage regulator/stabiliser issue or?

Also, one thing I've noticed is that the wheels stick out past the wings.. I would have thought that was an MOT failure? Is this a speedster wheel offset issue or are they just like this? Is the speedster any wider at the front?
