just finding my way on this great site, have a 1978 4/4 with standard 1600gt crossflow in an aluminium 4seater body ,always liked the style and practicality , the car came to nz in 86 and although there is no history with it it has had quite a lot of under car attention , not sure if I should be posting the following so i'll keep it as brief as poss, am trying to locate one or two low profile spotlight lenses rear mounted front guard green label lucas likely to be the same as +8 regards and happy mogging

Hi there,

Welcome from WA, I have a very similar car to yours albeit a '76.

Do you mean the Lucas spots (LR6) or...? Similar to those shown on my avatar?

R.

Hi back from a Scottish 4/4, your thread is already impressively global in only five posts!

thanks for your reply not familiar yet with the lucas id numbers but if the spots are rear mounted then the lense profile will be slimmer front to back than post mounted ones and 146mm diameter which i forgot to mention, am just about to take out the engine (for the second time ) as having just replaced the clutch etc drove around 60km and the original fork has broken one of the thrust bearing feet ,still as they say practice makes perfect (ho ho)
