I've had Mo a year now... 5,888 miles. And IMNSHO, she's perfect. No need to change the engine, exhaust, suspension... I find her perfect and plan to keep her stock... just as she left Malvern.

Stock is good but slightly modified can be so much better. Start with the restrictive exhaust.

Congratulations on a good year.

Like you I bought my Plus 8 for exactly what it is not what I could turn it into. They come out of the factory just right to me I don't even hold with badge bars or fog lamps, besides they all add weight and slow you down..

If I had to keep modifying it logic would be telling me I bought the wrong car hide thumbs.

Enjoy many more years and miles.

"Better" is subjective and exactly why I wrote what I did. She pings a tad if I do full throttle, but that's who she is. I'm not racing, I'm motoring. So, I'll take .5 seconds more to hit 60. BFD. Her stock sound is perfect, because it is HER sound. I love it! I also love the sound of a flat crank mustang V8, Subaru STI, Ferrari 12 cyl , and many Harley's.

Ken, your post had me recall a picture I snapped of a note on the dash a STOCK Lotus Elise at the Lotus Owners Gathering meet in PA last fall. Gave me a chuckle... probably only Lotus folks fiddle with their rides more than Morgan folks smile This may have been the only "stock" Lotus there among some 50 cars or more.

By the way, my '07 Elise is completely stock, well, except for the exhaust and the HID lights...

Sorry for the somewhat crappy image.

Love it. Thanks. Kinda like what's more rare...a stock Harley or a custom BMW?

Nice post. I'm a 'keep it stock' person myself.
