I just offer my Mclaren 12C for sale and replacing it with an Aero. It is exactly the opposite that, from time to time, I am thinking to do.

Interesting - Over the past 5 years I've owned a few supercars (TVR Sagaris, Ferrari 360 Spider, Audi R8, Lamborghini Diablo, Merceded SLS Gullwing, Noble M600). I've just taken the plunge on a low mileage 2011 Morgan Aero Supersports which after an 8 week struggle to get a pair of suspension uprights, I should be collecting later this week. On the performance front the Morgan would loose almost every time - I found it brisk but not fast. HOWEVER, I'm buying the Morgan for the experience, the individuality and above all how it makes me feel. All really difficult qualities to quantify as their all very subjective but I'm really excited to be taking ownership of something so rare. Another really positive thing is hopefully I'll slow down a bit on my Sunday morning drives. My issue with many modern supercars is they are just too capable and too fast for public roads. To have any real fun, you have to go out to play very early in the morning on deserted roads and "bend" the speed-limit slightly. Sadly my pockets aren't deep enough for weekly track days

I've said before, if you looking for something "like a 911" you should really buy a 911!

And most of all, if you were looking for a 911 alternative and you end up with a Morgan, you would burn it after 30 min. On the other end, if you were looking for a Morgan alternative and you buy a 911 you could yawn to death (not sure that in English this expression makes sense).

Oh it does Although in English we'd say "bored to death" a characteristic of boredom is yawning - so your expression fits the bill

Well I've owned a 12C, and I currently have an S2 Aero 8. Everyone here is correct. I can tell you I am having loads more fun in the Morgan than I ever had in the 12C. The McLaren is a marvel of engineering, but the Morgan, for me, is more fun and involving. The Aero is like a beautiful classic with modern reliability. I like to think of it as a luxury Caterham Super Seven.
The McLaren always felt like it was hewn from a solid piece of carbon fiber. The Morgan, on the other hand, will, over time, get rattles from the myriad of wood screws that back themselves out from vibration. But compared to say a 1954 Jaguar XK120, the Aero is built like a tank!
Lastly, I have to add my vote for likability of the Morgans as well. Exotics are fun, but it's not the sort of attention I crave. When people see the Aero, it is so rare and unusual they ask a ton of questions about what is it, and I always get heartfelt compliments. I never got these reactions with Astons, Ferraris or McLarens.

You summarized perfectly my fears when I think of replacing Violet with a 12C. And from what I read, I get once more the message: "Do not sell it"

Osama, Tarka is a 2014 Plus 8, an Aero chassis with a traditional body. It may have 367 or so bhp but it isn't that quick, our AMG C43 Coupe has the same power but it has computer managed 4WD and traction, so on anything other than a dry well surfaced road it is much more usable.
So what does an aero chassis Morgan offer? Character, charm and smiles. Wherever we take Tarka people wave and smile. The most often heard comment is "nice wheels mate". It generates no envy, no aggression, despite being an £85k hand built car. People let us in when joining a traffic jam (A36 into Salisbury) and when parked people come and chat.
The AMG generates no interest from anyone other than diehard AMG owners who dismiss it as a "wannabe" AMG because it is a V6, not a hand built V8.
I've ridden in a Mclaren, it is amazing, but would I want one? No, I'd either lose my licence or kill myself, you have to go too fast for the pubic road to generate any sense of drama. In an Aero you get drama as soon as you start the engine.
Downsides? it is hand built and some of the attention to detail isn't wonderful. It will probably leak and the A/C could be better...it isn't climate control!!
On a quiet, sunny morning driving the Plus 8, side screens removed, is as close to Nirvana as it is possible to get in this life. I'll only get rid of the car if we run out of money or I can no longer get insurance because I'm too old and infirm.

An Aero chassis Morgan is closer to a modern car than a trad...by a long mark! Driving a Morgan of any type...4 or 3 wheeled....is certainly different. A trad is a throwback in feel to a past era. A love or hate phenomenum. Ownership requires a certain mentality, perhaps not unlike owning a supercar. There are factors you need to accept and live with. Performance, servicing, cost, being the focus of attention etc.. Hyper performance may seem desirable but from a practical viewpoint how often attainable? Koenigseg set up trackdays for owners to explore the car's capabilities. Me? I love the old tech feel of the car. I feel as if I am driving a car instead of sitting in a tech filled box. I have been out in the car today and had to force myself to head home instead of going for a detour! Osama....you need to drive a Supersport to get a sensation of what it is. You WILL feel a difference. If you are smiling during the drive then you have your answer.
