I am looking for an original replacement gear lever for my 1975 4/4 with the 4 speed Ford gearbox.
Maybe someone has a spare lever after a 5 speed conversion?
Cheers.

I've a Ford part number for one, 6078141 which is listed as being for Escort Mk2 and Ford P100.
Give your local Ford dealer a try!

Tks for the heads up.
I called Ford and it is possible to order one from Germany (unseen) at a price increase from that quoted above.
Ideally I would prefer to find a physical lever, here in the UK.
Cheers.

Sorry for the delay in my response. I thought I replied a couple of days ago, but it never hit the screen? -------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the heads up on the part number. I called my local Ford garage and they can probably get one from Germany at an inflated price. If it is not the same as mine when it arrives I may have to just keep it!
I have had a few Ford boxes over the years in Mexico/GT/Lotus etc and the levers are not interchangeable.
Ideally I would like to find a secondhand lever in good condition that I can inspect to check compatibility.
Many Thanks!

Just to add a little more detail.
The lever I am looking for is the screw in type for the Ford 4 speed "Type 3" gearbox.
Thanks!

Hello,
I have a 711M block and gearbox from the 1970s lying in the back of my garage - I think it may have what you need although somewhat rusty on the surface.
Are you still looking ?
