Had a bit of a run out a couple of days ago, starting in blue sky and bright sunshine but it rapidly descended into heavy rain so gave up and came home but got out again today for a run up Deeside, over the Cockbridge Tomintoul road towards Grantown then back down Donside. Cobwebs nicely blown away. Photos on the old military road at Bauminich just after the Bridge of Brown. M3W-16113 by Calum Fraser, on Flickr M3W-16107 by Calum Fraser, on Flickr

After seeing glorious blue sky and sunshine this morning, checking the weather forecast, glossing over the bits about high wind warnings and heavy rain I got out on the roads again today for a lap of the Cairngorms. Up Donside and over the Lecht to Grantown on Spey, down the A9 through the Drumochter Pass to Perth, say hello at Revolutions in Perth, look at all the shiny toys in the showroom, then back home via Glenshee and Braemar. A great run with some epic wind conditions, torrential rain and lots of sunshine and beautiful evening light. M3W-16121 by Calum Fraser, on Flickr A hint of dampness approaching Drumochter. After a de-crudding session following yesterdays Drumochter deluge went for a potter round town to dry things off. Stopped at Aberdeen beach to take in the post sunset light.
