I have been refurbing a slightly rusty heater box on my 98 Plus8, and need to replace the mesh on it. Has anyone found any suitable material please? Apparently the heater box or the mesh is not listed as a spare part by the factory so none of the dealers have a suitable replacement. E bay search comes up with very thin mesh which could be a last resort. Many thanks.

John Worrall used to sell a lovely stainless heater box for the earlier Morgans, I have one my car, but I don't know if they are still available or would fit a '98 car. Might be worth giving him a call?

I use those green pan scrubbers, cut to size. Mesh is open enough to let the air through and still be capable of catching leaves, flies and other airborne debris.

Remember that whatever you use has the potential to block airflow.
Some of you will be able to visualise the MGB air intake, just in front of the screen. You can fit a stainless mesh to this, under the existing chrome trim. If you do, and I found this out the hard way, it significantly reduces airflow. And it's just a mesh.

Might be worth giving him a call? He's away for a fortnight, can't see anything on his website, it'll be done by the time he gets back Cheers Tim.
