Thanks all. There are three 2012/13 in the showroom- so I think I'll spend some time with each and assess against the above points. I've been driving Morgans for about 15 years- so I " get" them - I just want to add a little " head" to the " heart" decision!!

Maybe more a case of what you should listen for? BB noise acceptable to you? Drivetrain hopping/banging on pulling away? wink

My year old car has a quiet BB, and no such banging noises. Go newer and avoid the early issues and their subsequent fixes.

There's been a lot of discussion through the pages on this forum down the years with some owners developing their own solutions to issues encountered and creating beautiful handling M3W's in the process.

To simply disregard early cars out of hand is not a way fwd. The early cars also have the history so look at each example on merit. The M3W is by far the most exciting and all enthralling vechicle you'll ever drive or own.

+ 1 to this

As others have said it's easy to add "upgrades" as and when required.

Good luck in your search.

My 2016 has a very loud BB, so that issue has not been resolved

My 2015 had an awful really loud BB. Tried the redline stuff but while it imporoved it slighly it was still really loud. Spolied the whole experiance as it drowned out the lovely exhausts, yes those bevel boxes canbe that loud

I think one of the problems with noisy bevel boxes is the myriad four year old cars I've seen with 700 miles on them, lol.

Should I buy one ?

Of course not. Think of it as buying a horse. You know there are more practical forms of transport but you quite fancy something down to earth and basic. You must be willing to overlook the downsides of horse ownership such as getting it in
the lift of your high rise apartment and the high vet bills .. yada yada

It is a terrible car but it is also the best all round motoring experience you can buy.

+1 on the informed comments above. Buy with caution and enjoy
