I purchased one of the new mudguards.

During a preliminary mockup/trial fit, it seems that on the passenger side, the rear bracket hole aligns pretty well with the tie down for the rear brake line on the swing arm.

If you position the bracket forward of that fastener, the bracket seems to rub on the shocks.

The instructions only talk about drilling & tapping holes for the fasteners supplied with the guard.

If you've installed one of the new mudguards, what have you done?

I used the p-clip hole. Factory confirmed correct. All lined up fine on my car.

Brake hose P clip captive nut too far back to allow fit on mine. Drilled it out then drilled for four fresh M4 captive nuts to suit. Advice to tap into just 3mm of mild steel considered inadequate.

Front mount bracket advice to fit centralised to slots left it way off tyre centre line. Just about right when moved hard to right (away from belt). Then had to bend rear bracket arms to centralise mudguard at rear. Other than that fitting was a breeze

I'm finding that the mud guard bracket seems to line up well with the swing arm. Tyre is not centered in the guard, allowing for the belt. It does seem to line up well with the brake line tie down. Still in the project, but it looks like the tie down bolt is the thing to use for the rear position on the right side.

All went on easy ,did use rivnuts instead of drill and tap though. Used brake line clamp hole drilled 3 others !

Pretty much same for me. Would have appreciated if they had included the thread pitch/spacing for the 5mm machine screws. I did drill and tap, using the original hardware.

I coated the machine screws with CorrosionX and added lock washers before installing them.

Spent a lot of time figuring out the discrepancies between the instructions and the kit.

Possibly overkill, but I removed then reinstalled the mud guard for each hole to make sure everything would fit.

Yes, love the videos, Robert. The Goggles and Gauntlets and Rolling Thunder ones, in particular, are great. For my daughter though, the ones with the dogs in take the (dog) biscuit!
