Presume that Simon has tested the new manifolds and is now happy to put them on customers Mogs , i did ask him to keep me informed as to when they would be available....so they must be ready for production ! The pictures of engines and cars on this thread take some beating , its like classiclemans all over again , just want to hear the sound of the car with headers...and the Ultima - very nice engine !

Have a great trip oop north. I'm in Cumbria at the moment for a brief visit to see the solicitor about the new house. Glorious morning here and the gulls are noisy!

I was looking at the exhaust system that Simon was working on as an option, not for the GTN but the series 5. I need to get everything else finished on it first though :-)

Also depends on whether Simon wants to make any more!

Thanks John. We've got 2-nights in the Lakes on the 8th and 9th if you're around, we could meet up with you both John?

Can I let you know sooner Brian? It would be great to meet up but I'm backwards and forwards like a yoyo at the moment and never quite sure where I'll be!

&, at last, I can add to this thread scared

Picked up the car Saturday lunchtime at Williams, just north of Bath; north to the Wild Duck at Ewen, by Cirencester, then into the Cotswolds proper for Saturday night.
South on Saturday, via lots of smiles & waves in a wholly unnecessary detour into central Bath, just because it was there. And then bumping into Mendip Mogs on their lunch stop, off the A350 south of Warminster.

Onwards to Howards House Hotel in Tisbury for Sunday night - a fabulous hotel, and great value. Highly recommended for food & a relaxed atmosphere.

Then over to Bridport for Monday lunch.
300 miles, before parking up in 't barn.

Huge fun.
With luggage space for 3 - 2 adults and a mini-daschund's den/pen

Build quality - excellent, so far.

& I still need to figure out how to get the best from the audio system. Apparently Morgan improved the Amp over the original demo cars - but even using a twin-amp DAC player I haven't yet found the equaliser settings that produces decent base sound.
At the very least I suspect the system needs a front/rear balance control to get sound from the door speakers.

That's you hooked then cheers congratulations lovely car.

The audio does need some work mine certainly did.

The amp is tucked away under the passenger foot rest, you can tweek the output but you need to get to the amp.

I took mine around a couple of audio places explained what I wanted and they all ran away.

In the end I did it myself and bought an Alpine head unit which is hidden in the car this provides a pre-amp of the DAC input all controlled by an app on my iPhone to balance and equalise. As the input signal is higher the output is improved.

Sound is much better than on the series 4

First, congrats - great colour choice. I'm sure getting the balance sorted will improve the sound you get from the door speakers. But, if the S5 is built the same way as my 'Max then the wires to the door speakers will be the flimsiest twin strand telephone bell wire, not up to the job at all and will chafe through where the plastic sleeving passes behind the door hinge. I binned the factory head unit/amp and speaker cabling, but kept the speakers as they worked better than my ears. If you are upgrading any bits and pieces, take the opportunity to check out the speaker wiring.
