When you've finished giving Peter a length, I shall look forward to seeing the pics as I have no idea where it is supposed to go. The neoprene. Obviously.

Dear All,

On the way to Bromyard yesterday I put some electrical tape round the headlight bezels.
Yup, the dreaded whistling was gone.
I took the tape off for the Festival runs, and the whistling returned on the way home.

May I have a length of your neoprene Neil?
I can visit you as we are not far apart, and enjoy a hearty discussion about the joys of neoprene with you.

Neoprene "Whistling " Report.

Well great news - it worked!

The Whistle is no more. I really have got used to it over the past 18 months - but sooo annoying.

Am delighted to now only be able to hear the smooth purr of the V6 and the wind in my grey hair!

AND best of all - really easy to fix.

Chrome covers off - strip of said self adhesive Neoprene carefully around the leading edge of the light itself.

Chrome covers back on - Whistle is no more!

Cost?? About 25p ( no seriously!) and took all of 10 mins.

Am happy to mail out to those who have already requested - then its all gone.

I bought it on ebay item 121925345757 www.epdm.co.uk £2 for 5M delivered.

I bought the 5mm width - but cut it into half to fit. Or buy the smaller width (2.5mm?)

BIG thanks to all who came up with the fix - and yes DaveW - I am now a neoprene convert! laugh2 cheers

Thank you Neil for the neoprene, and for all of you who identified the bezels as the culprit.
It was easy to get the bezels off; a bit of a faff getting them back on and finding the screw hole.

I will not miss the sound of a whistling kettle anymore, unless it's the real thing of course.
