So having just put S18BERO (SIBERO) onto the Merc I wondered what it meant, so I looked it up. "Meaning of the name Sibero Having freedom of choice is a source of joy to anyone who has this name. If somebody tries to limit your independence then they will most likely be kicked out of your life or social circle. Widely open for new experiences you have many fields of interest. Reacting quickly to arising problems or changing situations is like second nature to you. Instead of being afraid of change you tend to cherish it. Collecting new impressions and gaining experience when traveling helps you energize. If you think of yourself as a car then your fuel would be traveling. Overall you are great to be around, because of your social nature. Extremely communicative and crafty you attract new friends like a magnet. However, at times you can be a bit superficial. Not one to easily take advice from others. Most of the time you already have existing firm beliefs." thought it was most appropriate and a good description of me. So what does yours mean?

We tend to have a laugh with numberplates.
Shiny Mog has a present from the wife with my initials ABM that makes the cars age hidden leading to many "how old is it?" questions. In turn leading to confusion when I say 2013 !
When we bought the last (extremely disappointing) Audi in uniform black she bought me B17 EVL for it as she said the car looks evil.
In turn I bought her LE55 EVL for her Mini. Some people said we were mad and others got the joke.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I try to denote the car. A bit daft as we a know what it is - its a MOG Hence MV03MOG Morgan v ..3 ..MOG onthe three wheeler. AM08MOG on the 4/4 MV60MOG on the Roadster Morgan v 6 I know its all a bit silly - but I like the MOG plates! On the beeemer we have ... P6 NHL this is a real misnomer as the plate was transferred from my 911 Porsche 6 (cylinder) and my initials - I think they call these vanity plates!

Two of ours came with other cars and mean nothing. Although it then becomes amusing when associates try to work out the meaning. I bought one for the Golf which is very similar to the one on the Roadster and also means nothing....... I suppose my indulgence is on the Plus 4 which is F4 MGN. That plate was still available on DVLA so didn't cost much.

I bought V8 WMD, V12 WMD and W12 WMD which seemed droll at the time as everyone was talking about WMD. I use V8 on the +8 and have used the others on appropriate cars.

I brought MD56MOG for the plus 8 which is my initials, birth year and MOG.
I have NFB382 on the aero 8 which is a plate I have owned since the 80's. No other significance.

YDV 819 - just an old (1958) Exeter issued number My paleontology lecturer at Keele University in the 60s had a +4 4 seater which was YDV XXX , I will try to find out if the digits match. Unless you can look up past owners via DVLA? He would be really chuffed to bits if his number still resides on a Mog.

Andy
The history of the number is: It was originally fitted to an Austin A35, sold from Pikes Garage, Exeter in 1958. I bought the plate from the son of the original owner.
and Martin
My father owned JFB 461 which was on our MG Magnette ZB, bought in 1958, in Bath
