I'm not a fan of sticking anything to the top of the windscreen surround. Although it works, it has the disadvantage of looking unsightly when the hood isn't fitted - and this is 99% of the time. Dave's plan of gluing a strip of neoprene to the hood is much better, I think.
If one doesn't want to do this, or fork out for a better hood, the easiest way to deal with it is simply to recategorise the issue from being a "problem" to be an "endearing feature of driving a Morgan". It's only a few drips after all, easily dealt with by having a few microfibre towels handy in the cockpit.

Except that on Bumble it was much more than a few drips. It was relentless running water laced with midges........

Yes, mine could be bad at times. I took the Simmonds hood option. Not cheap, but my hood is completely waterproof now.

Not sure if my 4/4 hood ever leaked - it never went up!!!! Is that because you were happy to get wet, or did you avoid driving in the rain? I don't mind getting wet if it starts raining whilst I'm out, but if it's wet when I leave home, I prefer to start out with the hood up, especially when it's winter and there's not much prospect of the weather improving.

No not happy to get wet Tim - well I would not mind - but MrsRB would!
Just lucky I guess to only have driven through light showers.
Plus the fact that it would have taken me so long to put up I would have been soaked anyway!!!
And bear in mind that I was used to being in my M3W so the 4/4 was bliss even with the hood down!

I have used variants of self adhesive strip from Carbuildersolutions, Woolies etc. stuck to the everflex hood. The only remaining drips are where the Simmonds mirror top bracket hooks over the screen frame. The small gap created by the bracket allow rain to get pushed through by the positive pressure. It is a work in progress. Not that high priority though as it gives a co-pilot job to enjoy The first rain trip in the car involved deep puddles. Water hit the screen (a lot!), forced itself under the hood. Not a drop on me but screamed, laughed and mopped up the lapfull. It still amuses her.

According to the works of Brunel, I suspect that it (prene) - was leather. Shades of the atmospheric railway..................
So an equally alluring smell. I googled prene and all I got was offers of free porn! Your definition seems sensible - my poor joke was laid flat.
