3rd Brake Light
My solution to the Issue. DIN socket mounted next to the Cobra head and spliced into loom inboard of the existing connector

No problem. Just drill a hole through the tyre. Seriously though, I did think that a smaller Din Socket ( large audio Jack Plug size) could be fitted through the underside angle of the Cobra Lens Glass (and maybe Reflector). That could have eased the wiring issues as well. If Tail Lamps are mandatory in Europe then the Morgan factory could fit this (or similar socket)in the Cobra as standard and then offer a 'Grand Designs' Suitcase Tail Lamp as an extra. (Hurrrmph!)

Frank My tyres are 195/60 R15. Looking at the handbook the roadster is listed as having 205/60R15. This would I suppose account for the lack of gap.

That would only be 3mm difference on the tyre radius... I wonder if the rear panel on Frank's Roadster actually has a smaller diameter hole for the spare wheel mounting... Nothing like hand made cars Cheers,

You don't have a large capability to offset because of the centre which has only one place and the "tee" has to be exactly in front of the hole to be tightened. BR. Daniel.
