hey Rocky, no no, its not mine, I just looked for a car online, with open front! ;-) Calum - thank you! #1 is the brake and clutch fluid reservoir. #2 is the engine oil tank. The brake and clutch stuff, I better don't touch, right? But with what kind of oil may I fill the engine oil tank? Pete

No problem The brake and clutch reservoir needs to be kept topped up to the level marked on it with DOT4 brake fluid (DOT 3 would be not be a problem, DOT5.1 is also good. Do not use DOT5 unless you really know what you are doing and are willing to completely clean out the system and make sure that all lines and seals are compatible with it!) The engine oil is 20W-50 V-twin oil, preferably synthetic at least once run in. I've been using Motul 7100 4T 20W-50 but others are available. I think in all but the early cars which have a small dipstick on the filler cap there is a level indicator built in to the tank itself; the level should be checked within a few minutes of stopping the engine not with it stone cold and been sitting for days.

My mechanic refuses to put fully synthetic in mine. He means that any 20W50 four stroke oil, for motorcycles, will do. Added a liter of Castrol Power1 just yesterday, in fact. At the same time grease was added to the compensator, which is now quiet again.
M3W, now!!!

oh, so I can also add grease to compensator? I am at approx. 3500 km. Should I consider doing it?
Thanks Calum - will check for the oils you recommended :-) (I look forward seeing you in September!)
