Great work Dave, looking foreward to this, and I am still up for two copies please.
Have not been on this forum much over the last 3 months as I have been fettling my wife's Elan for the national gathering in Australia, and the more I have done the more I enjoy it so with this book I can do more on the Morgan too.
She won her her class by the way With her Elan - Concourse winner in the Elite/Elan/Europa class - so it was not only fun to go over to the mainland, but great to see her delight at winning.

Hi John.
Yes the buzz from winning a class trophy takes some beating. It must be a superb Elan.
The book is almost right. Just two chapters to polish, plus the technical specs. It will be submitted to the publisher by the end of June. Currently at 50,500 words and 264 images.
My volunteer proof readers will be getting the manuscript shortly.......
But surprisingly it can take up to eight months for it to appear. Printing is done in a faraway place and the books return by sea. So it won't be ready for Christmas.

My preferences for a copy....
Red neoprene with corner protectors.
9 louvres along the spine.
No cover photo as it can be moved to a preface page inside.
Gold embossed lettering on the cover.
Davejavu serif font ( modified version of dejavu serif).
The opprtunity for custom accessories is also appealing.....
Polished stainless bookmark with options for model type embossing.
Silk gloves to protect the book whilst reading.
Ash framed presentation case with perspex window and lock.

Yes Steve - I've created a list of useful specialists in 'the Appendix'. Where to stop is the problem.
I started with specialists I've used, but that leaves some out so I'm trying to be even handed without creating Morgan yellow pages.

Update: I'm getting close. As expected the devil is in the detail and the data and specification tables have been a right pain. On the positive side, I'm absorbing a huge amount of detail!!!!! The manuscript is now at 45,400 words, and the captions are at 12,500 words, so 57,900 in total, with 264 images. The proof readers have done a great job and picked up quite a lot of things to correct and improve. I've also had some very important detail provided from handbooks and so on by BHM. Don't ever trust general car sites for data on the internet. They are usually vague and misleading.I've had to do a lot of cross checking, because one source doesn't corroborate the facts, but I'm getting there!!  I'm at the factory again tomorrow on a mission........
