God forbid we should ever win this ridiculous event ......  I can confidently predict that we will not win and I don't think God will have anything to do that I love Eurovision - currently watching the first semi-final on iPlayer I've accurately predicted the winner for the last 6 years before the voting has started Strangely enough the secret to winning is a good memorable song and not being British

...also I know I'm getting old and silly but what part of Europe is Israel in let alone Australia? Well it's not called the European Song Contest. "Eurovision" is the network of the European Broadcasting Union which has members from all round the world. The Israel Broadcasting Authority has been a full member since 1957 and the Australian Broadcasting Commission since 1950. I know I'm getting old and pedantic, but it irritates me the song contest is referred to as "Eurovision". The EBU is involved in numerous international productions including all the major events like the Olympics and the World Cup. ~iw
