Hi, just discovered this forum, looks good and easy to navigate around.
Came across it while hunting for a spring supplier as my '73 4/4 4 str now Zetec powered has eaten a rear spring. Also have a 1934 JAP SS not quite finished, and probably never will be as fed up with it & may sell it.

Welcome to the forum.
Can't help with the springs - where are you located (approximately will do)?
A '34 JAP SS - lovely thumbs

Cheers,

Welcome indeed. cheers Any photos of the 4-seater and especially of the unrestored 1934 Jap SS? camera

Like Graham I can't help with the springs, but I'm sure that there will be someone along soon who can. smile

Best

Welcome to the forum Grisedale cheers

I hope you have success with your search. If you are a MSCC Club member you will have copies of the monthly Miscellany magazine with its many dealers to contact. www.melvyn-rutter.co.uk parts catalog indicates that they sell rear spring sets.

Happy Hunting. sherlock

Thanks for that, I'm trying GEE, always excellent service in the past, I'd forgotten about them.
I'm hearing stories that a lot of the replacement springs now are rubbish, same problems in the Sprite and Midget world. Doubt there's room for a coil over conversion on a four seater.
Regretting the taking the potholes at speed technique that I had employed on the lane to my house now.

Welcome to Talk Morgan. wine

I don't think you are alone in your "potholes at speed" technique; I know it is also favoured by myself, although not in my Morgan!, much to the distress of both my wheels and tyres. sos

Do you have any photos of your SS, I am looking for a +8 for myself but a friend of mine is thinking seriously about a JAP SS and is not scared of a bit (or a Lot) of work.

I can probably take some photos if I can work out how to attach them.
On the spring front M-R didn't disappoint, nothing in stock and a couldn't care less tone, everyone else helpful but have none either, waiting for GEE to phone back. Getting a sinking feeling.
