Next little project on the MOG is to plump up the front car seats.
The leather is in super condition so it doesn't need recovering but my drivers seat defiantly needs whatever is underneath the leather on the seat and the back plumping up and making firm as the chair is getting really saggy
The seats are the reclining type with a tilt forward action on my year 2000 chair with the squareish thick headrests
Has anyone experience of doing this and what is involved?

I replaced the seat cushion on my 4/4 which I think was a 2002 model.
Took the seat out. Leather cover comes off quite easily held by spring clips. I bought a memory foam pillow and cut it to size. Refitted. It was much better and still in the car when I sold it, though I gave the new owner the old original foam base.

There were no upholstery springs in mine Stewart. Just two types of foam on a thin frame thing which was attached to the main seat frame by springy things.

Hi Stewart
I once had a 1938 series 1 with a seat bladder (you can still get spare bladders from Uncle Melvyn) so decided to go that route. Bladders are too big so used a couple of wheel barrow inner tubes - good quality ones, two cycle inner tubes, and two lengths of flexible plastic tubing.
Remove air valves from wheel barrow tubes, clamp on the tubing (about 12" in length. Take the cycle tubes and cut off the valve stems, insert the valve stems in the other end of the tubing and clamp.
Hey presto two simple and quick seat bladders. Wrap them in some rubber matting (there are some sharp edges under there) and insert under the seats, pump up until firm - Simple.

Stewart, you may have Pirelli webbing which is a fabric sheet welded to rubber strips either side, this has a wire frame that is attached to the seat frame with hooks. They are prone to split, Heart of England do an alternative.
