Talk Morgan Forums Morgan Sports Cars Classic Morgans (pre-CX) how many Plus owners?

Great to see all the Traditional owners we have on Talk Morgan. I know there are others - they are probably just shy - but to my mind, it's great to have a blend of Morgan owners on the site.

I really appreciate the spirit of Talkmorgan site: I feel it's a great family of enthusiasts (doesn't matter if Aero or Trad owners...). I'll try to attach a couple of pictures of mine (me and my wife Jelena), hope you'll enjoy!

What about the 'Hair Dryer' Nick ? A +6 wouldn't have been any more unorthodox than the +8 when it was introduced. Marketing aside, the +4 should naturally have evolved into a six cylinder car.
When I was weighing the 'Pros and Cons' of the 4/4 vs +4, I came to the conclusion that basically, I was expected to pay a big Premium for the cachet of having the 'Plus 4' name on the bonnet. A well sorted 4/4 as 'Arian' will be, once the engine warranty expires, will see off a 2 litre +4 and then some. The performance will also come at much lower cost to me.

Unfortunately, the 'Roadster' was not on my 'Shopping List' as my Madame vetoed the additional cost: the money can be used for something useful!

I have a '96 4/4. Problem with larger capacity cars over here is the VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) on import. Under 2L is 25% of market value but it rises to 30% over 2L. A +4 would just make it but the "Hairdryer", +8 or Aero would not. As I object to paying the Govt. more than I absolutely have to, it ws a 4/4 or +4 for me. I found a particularly clean 4/4 within my budget(just!) and I am delighted with it over the 18mths I have owned it.

If I won the lotto, the first act would be an order for a S3 Aero, though!!!
