Hi Guys, I am getting a metalic clunk from the offside rear area when pulling away or on overrun. Is this "normal".

I've not experienced that, what exhaust set up do you have?

Sounds like a wear in the prop shaft UJ wear problem.

Sounds like a wear in the prop shaft UJ wear problem. I would hope not on a virtually new car!  But, it very definitely needs checking before adding many more miles...

Side exit exhausts tapping the bodywork (I think I have read a thread on here about the exhaust brackets on S5's Failing) Ian

It's not normal on mine.
The side pipe exhaust brackets do seem to be consumable items - but they rattle on idle, not when on the move.

Hi Guys, I am getting a metalic clunk from the offside rear area when pulling away or on overrun. Is this "normal". Be careful it doesnt do a 90deg turn into a Malvern Garden wall whilst your driving it

Hi Guys, I am getting a metalic clunk from the offside rear area when pulling away or on overrun. Is this "normal". No it's not. Checked your wheels are nice and tight. Exhaust pipes feel solid? As above, there's a chance it could be the drive shaft - worth checking out.
