Well it's a sunny day again so I'm in a good mood but even so I feel the need to be rather positive about the cars we love. Whilst by no means above posting "realistic" criticisms of the cars, I do want to re affirm just how terrific they are. If not the best engineered car I've ever owned they have been more fun than any others at all.....by miles. I still try to find longer routes to places only in the Morgan. I still smile more in the Morgan. I still choose to drink from my china mug with the picture of Morgans on it. I still love hearing the comments from people on the street. Yesterday a group of half a dozen probably 12 year old boys yelled "great car mister" and "you're a legend" as I went by. And the day before I heard from a high window " wow, you can cover just half of your car.... that's cool"(passenger side tonneau on). So a word or two of joy from me about owning one of these great cars and long may they continue to make them. I've already started brainwashing a new generation......I gave my five year old great nephew a wonderful Morgan car bedspread which makes a single bed look like a 4/4 and he loves it. Let's hope he buys a real one in twenty years time...... Nick

Great post!
I remember being parked up with half tonneau in place when a young boy and his father passed by.
"Wow one seat and three wipers!" exclaimed the youngster...

As new owners, we are enjoying getting used to the very frequent and very appreciative comments from onlookers in reaction to our Morgan. The most amusing so far, was overheard while stopped at traffic lights, from a four or five year old girl to her father...

Andrew and Helen I've had the "Noddy" comment as well, quite liked it. Not sure I was that impressed when in my Mini a little girl pointed and said " Look Mummy it's a toy car". Hmmmmm Andy

Morgans do attract admiration , rather than envy and result in some lovely comments
However, before I entered the world of Morgan I had been considering a few soft top sportscar options. I did hear the following comment from a young lady in Exeter, as she observed someone of about my age, driving a very nice 911 Cabrio, roof down.
"Lovely car, pity about the old git driving it"

"Lovely car, pity about the old git driving it"
I had exactly the same thought when I watched a red Ferrari with a driver in his 70's at least, driving slowly through Sidmouth a couple of years back, what actually made me think that wasn't the car, but the 25year old dolly bird in short skirt sitting in the passenger seat, and I'm sure she was not his grandaughter either.
Anyone locals might know?
