On the Land Rover side I agree the back end of the new Disco is not as pretty as the back end of a bus.

I'm still not sure Roger and I have looked at the USA link below - they all look too similar to me.

That new Disco rearplate and lights are a bit of a nightmare to follow ..

I live near the Gaydon plant and my brother in law works for JLR. I saw the new Disco some time ago in prototype form. Hideous. I do not know what they were thinking. As for the Velar, these have been driving around here on the roads in test form for some time now and i have to say, on the road, they look great. Like a grown up Evoque and seems (to me at least) much better proprtioned. Incidentally, he came round today in a mule car with a new Jag prototype straight 6 petrol engine in it and took me for a spin. Wow! Could see this in the Aero chassis - and that spoken by someone who has - and loves - the V8 S5!

velar - definition of velar in English | Oxford Dictionaries
https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/velar

relating to a veil or velum., (of a speech sound) pronoun... Meaning, pronunciation, example sentences, and more from Oxford Dictionaries.

I think the origins are Hindi so steady as you go...

The dimensions of the Velar are roughly thesame as the Sport. Other specs may be different and the price less but seems odd it's the same size.

Velar was popular seat material in the '80's.

Oh it was velour, but the kids who design stuff today wouldn't recognise the '80's. The period when Brylcreem became extinct. Although one of my first bosses in the mid seventies, an ex Customs Officer with an attitude to match, lathered it on every day.
