Yep that's the one Brian. The mid 2018 makes sense if this is the case. However there's not much publicity about the factory which is unusual.

Just looking at the performance on the TVR it puts the cost in perspective. 200 mph, 500bhp and 1200 kgs (which translates to low 3 seconds 0-60). It is a very great deal of performance for 90k
Add the spec to that with Gordon Murray design, carbon sandwich enhanced chassis and a carbon body. Starting to sound value! They might be brilliant value a couple of years old.
As for Lotus, for me, they have lost their USP "simplicate and then add lightness". They are becoming lardy and Lotus are having to put larger engines in to make them work. That pushes the price up and they are now competing with Porsche Boxters and Caymens which are better cars. Only the die hards buy them on yesterdays reputation IMO.

I forgot Gordon Murray was involved  Yes, TVR do have a unit at Rassau. At least some visible progress. Deposits will help funding to a small degree and show sales predictions.

Just reading all the press official releases and online info and the state of play so far is this
Up to March in this year the deal hadn't been done on the Welsh factory in Rassau but close to agreement
Up to last week 'over 300 deposits have been taken' some at £5000 some at £2500 but no breakdown
Gordon Murray has done quite a lot of design work
Some depositors have been to Gordon's gaff and seen a 3D interior in two colour ways and a car seat and had finance advice based on a car being around the £90K mark
Signed strict confidentiality agreements so may have seen or heard more
Testing of Cosworth V8 engine in an old Tasmin (or similarly named old TVR model) is taking place
Announcement of a static display model at Goodwood which will have production parts on show in Sept with order book open to complete 500 limited edition cars
At least 3 people on LinkedIn state they are employed by the newco TVR
