I am thinking to remove these clumsy and full with scratches wind deflectors. I find that I mostly have the side screens on (what a wimp), only when it is really hot, I take the screens off. Not having the wind deflectors on such days, does not seem to be a hardship. Also, I wonder do these deflectors work? Any experimental evidence? Would be nice windtunnel experiment or flow simulation job... Keen to hear experience, as I never drove a Morgan without the deflectors. I recall one has to be carefull not to use the longer screws holding the deflector, as you can crack the windscreen. Cheers, Bert

I've just fitted mine Bert and I'm convinced they make a difference
I very rarely have the sidescreens on so they have been a good addition in my opinion

Ah, Steward, your claim of experimental evidence, seems credible, if you rarely use sidescreens. So, deflectors work. Thanks, Bert

Having recently fitted some I agree with Stewart.
To me they definitely reduce any wind to the face to the extent I no longer feel the need to protect my eyes (sunglasses). The downside seems to be an increase in a blast to the back of the head, neck and left (inner) ear.
I don't regret fitting but do feel the need to protect those areas more.

I took mine off and don't notice any difference! I don't have sidescreens yet (still on order) and can't compare. The deflectors don't look good in my opinion, and look daft with a folding windscreen and aero screens. They also interfered with my view of the windscreen bracket mounted mirror.

The deflectors don't look good in my opinion... That's my thought too, I've never had them. I feel they may be useful but they're about as cool as clip on sunglasses.

I took mine off. A PIA as they stuck out and got hit by the sidescreen when opening the door. They did deflect the wind a bit but.....

I have had both the perspex type and the Simmonds glass deflectors which are much more substantial on different Morgans and found that neither worked for me, perhaps because I sit as far back as possible in the car. I took them off in each case and agree that they were a PITA.

I maade a pair out of perspex which fit on when sidescreens are off and unscrew them when with sidescreens - about 50p of scrap perspex,& aluminium. They do seem to make a difference although for long journeys I tend to use sidescreens.
