Having nearly completed the rebuild of a 1978 4/4 (LHG 430T) I am in need of a new gear knob. I have seen a beautiful wooden Merc gear knob.Is there any way to determine if this will fit the 4/4?

Will it fit a Ford Rocket box shifter?
Do you have physical access to the gear knob you want ?
Usually it's only the push fit type that are not interchangeable. I think you only need to check it is a screw fit type to be in with a high chance of it fitting.
