I learned this today... many of you will remember my problem in October 2015 when I ordered my M3W and Maryland told me I'd never be able to register it (the thread is in here somewhere). One of their claims was that Federal Regs for motorcycles says that if you have two headlights they must be no greater than 8" apart. My dealer and I were fighting with Maryland and there was this supposed mystery letter that Maryland says they sent to Morgan in 2013. Seems Morgan got it, did nothing, and never got back to my dealer about. My quest to get my car registered promoted Maryland to contact NHTSA and have them review the Federal Regs. That's what made NHTSA send a change letter to Morgan!

The engine in my car is also now taboo in the US. The Feds decided the fins on the jugs
are too rough and could cut people! Supposedly, cars coming to the US must have the bright package... chrome jugs.

I bought one of those "WIDE LOAD" signs and changed it to "WILD LOAD" with some duct tape.

Hello KenShapiro, What about the hot pipes an sharp fines on your Moto Guzzi? Some years ago Oregon tried to make it a law that every new motorcycle had to have a airbags. Total stupidity. Obviously in this case the Feds have to much money and are trying to justify their existence.
