I went to the Bon Accord Steam Fair at Castle Fraser in the M3W yesterday. Lovely dry warm day. Some really great machinery there including a 1946 Fiat topolino in cream & red. I want one. I'd post pictures but the file manager says my file size is over 1MB when its not.

Is there really no way to post pics now unless you have a private webpage with them on it?

I feel a little guilty but yesterday I was in a bit of a hurry and their were these 2 guys gawking at the car from inside the front window of Cycle Gear….and this question came up- is that the engine on the front? I said no that is just plastic. The real engine is under the hood. They looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and walked off. The best part was THEIR WERE NO MORE QUESTIONS!

I guess I should have said "The real engine is under the bonnet".

Had a run round by Dufftown and back home over the Lecht today, first time out for a month due to work and other bits of the real world intruding.

Took a nice long cruise with our friends who have a freshly restored MGB over the weekend. On Sunday we went with them out to Whitmore Lake to have some ice cream and sit and look at the boats for a while. It was kind of fun seeing all the people who very respectfully walked up to the Morgan and the MG B and gave them a look. As we were heading out what passes me waving in the other direction but a black or dark blue Morgan with a chrome pack! The first other three wheeler that I have seen on the road while I have been in mine! The driver must have reversed Direction because later on I caught a look at him in my mirror past the MG, if I reached forward and steadied my rearview mirror enough that I could make out what it was.

I would have pulled over to talk to him but the road we were on was very twisty and residential out by the lake, and there was no good place to pull over after a mile or two I noticed that they were no longer following us. Unfortunate because I would have liked to have pulled over and found out who they were!
