What a surprise to hear all these UK owners complaining about the heat!!! Two things you have to remember about us Brits Georgetoad: 1. We are obsessed with the weather 2. We love to have something to moan about Pretty sure he's an ex-pat Steve...

Wasn't it 1976 and 1977 when the UK had heatwave summers. I've not worn pyjamas since. Yep, left UK in 1976 --wnen it was cooler--pre global warming!!

It was 1976...living in Whitton, just down the road from the Twickenham RFU Ground. At night we could either keep the windows open and be deafened by the aircraft from LHR or sweat.... I haven't worn PJs since, either...

The solution is to go out earlier. There's a cool breeze at 4.30 and no traffic. It stays cool until around 9.30 so that's five hours of pleasure.

I was taking my finals during the summer of 1976. Extremely unpleasant having to both revise and sit exams in that heat. As for driving the 4/4 in this weather. We like evening drives, with a stop for a ginger beer at one of our favourite hostelries.

I was at Uni driving a Honda CB200. Spent the summer at home in Paignton with great drives out to beaches in the South Hams

If you really want to feel the heat spend 3 or 4 hours in the cockpit of a cessna 152. Crikey it is hot!

I was in Feltham looking after the signalling maintenance of the Whitton/Hounslow loop and main Twickenham lines.
