The BBC Cambridgeshire news site http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/england/CambridgeshireHas a picture of a car that overturned on the M11 today. Looks remarkably like a Morgan, I do hope driver and passenger are OK

Your link appears to be dead but I found video here... http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/cambridge-news/live-overturned-vehicle-fuel-spill-13216993 It does look very much like a Morgan I'm afraid. The news report seems to be focusing on the oil spill which I hope means nobody was hurt.Updated: Man and woman injured, police say A Cambs police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 11.30am this morning with reports of an overturned car on the M11 at Madingley. The road has been closed northbound while officers deal with the incident. “The driver, a man, has suffered serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening at this time. “A female passenger has also been injured - however, the extent of her injuries are not yet known.”

Indeed it does look very Morgan like. Let's hope the occupants make a speedy recovery. I wonder what the cause was?

That link didn't work, This should. Both injured, one seriously. The car looks like an old 4 seater, it has pressed metal wheels with hub caps.

That looks like an MGTD to me. Look closely and it seems to have an external fuel tank. Look also at the bulkhead panel between the door and bonnet. Not very Morgan like. The wheels also look like MGTD.

I think you are right.
If you look it also has lost one rear wheel, including the hub. The other 3 are in place. Might that have been the cause or a consequence?

Oh no. We met a couple from up north when we were at Duxford who were having a holiday in Cambridgeshire (first visit). And they were in an MG TD.
Whether it was them or not, I hope for a speedy recovery for them both.

I owned a TD of exactly that colour for 30 years or so, and never saw another one of the same colour. As far as I know, it still lives in Bath, but could have been on holiday. I hope the driver and passenger are both less injured than the news report says?
