I am a newbie on this forum and saying G'day for the first time in less that brilliant circumstances...

Sitting at a stoplight on route 59, Twin Lakes, IL yesterday afternoon... beautiful weather for a cruise with my son. While sitting stationary at a RED stoplight We were in the middle of a very deep conversation regarding which of the predatory dinosuars was likely tyhe coolest (he is 6) and suddenly copped the front end of a subaru right up the back of my M3W...

We are lucky. The Subaru was stationary but was absolutely clobbered by a Honday Odessey, that pushed the subaru into us with sufficient force to do the damage you can see in the photos attached. I will point out that the bloke who hit us, and the subaru was terribly decent, apologetic and took full responsibility. Just such a bummer about the Mog.

Luckly my son was in his saftey seat and he wears a motocross helmet when in the mog... [img:center]https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5a3fyr4h561MUV6SEpJRGJLcnM[/img]

Now to embark on the learning journey to get this fixed... I am lucky to have Northshore Sportscars and the expertise of Norb Bries and Keith Pickard right in my backyard.

Stay safe out there lads.

Good you were not hurt!
It seems your M3W driving season has just ended. Will take some time to get her repaired.

Sorry to see this, but glad you both got out o.k.

It'll take time a bit of metal bashing and carpentry but she'll be good again.

Good that no one was hurt.

I'm wondering after looking at the pics if a rear end collision runs the danger of having driver or passenger head hit by the trunk!

Glad you are both OK. That wont knock out. Is the chassis frame likely to be twisted? If your car is earlier than 2014 then a new chassis might be a blessing.

Glad you and your son are ok.

So...how does damage like this get fixed in the States?

Is it shipping replacement parts from England and bolting them on? I'm not sure that any local body shop that I know would do work like this.

Let us know how this goes.
