Can anyone answer this question please:

When the new chassis is fitted, do I still fit the steering comfort kit or is it not required?

My recently rebuilt car used all the old steering & suspension components. I already had the comfort kit & its still there. I think newer cars have a modified upright so the track rods connect higher up.
The dealer told me that Morgan quote a time for chassis replacement. I think they said 90 hours but I may be wrong on that. Why Morgan were telling hbatts that his car had to go back to the factory is strange when they could have sent a chassis.

Thanks Tim, I will let RD Racing know. I hope my car will take a little less than 90 hours, as it is already fairly disassembled. I wonder what hourly rate they pay for warranty work. If it were to be the same rate that Porsche main dealers get, that would be a £10,000 labour bill!

You can bet that Morgan pay a lot less/hr for warranty than you pay for service. No doubt it is much cheaper for Morgan to do a chassis at the factory as they have done a lot & it wont take as long as a dealer who may have done none. Why mine took 12 weeks is still a mystery. Hopefully you soon get the parts & can get back on the road. Are you changing to Centa compensator whilst in bits. I had one & paid only parts. They were also asked to check the clutch.

Morgan are now saying the disassembled heap of parts of my M3W, have to be transported over 400 miles to Marcassus Sport in Toulouse, as they don't recognise RD Racing as an "official" Morgan dealer. They don't of course, offer to arrange this. I have told them (in these exact words) to pull their finger out and appoint RD as official service agents. It is absurd expecting the many Morgan owners in Provence and the Côte d'Azur to make an 800+ mile round trip to see an official dealer.

My hand is hovering over the phone to instruct my solicitor to issue proceedings against Morgan. The thought of what might have happened, if I had had an accident with 25% of the chassis' integrity missing, does not bear thinking about. The car would have folded up like a concertina. These vehicles should be subject to an official recall, not the feeble "check the chassis for cracks" like they did but to have the chassis replaced automatically. Maybe a "heads up" to the DVLA is required.

Success! It would seem that my emails direct to Morgan and those via Marcassus in Toulouse, which left zero room for misunderstanding my sentiments over the matter and the implications, have been escalated to director level. There has been a second change of mind on the matter so we have gone from the work to having to be done in the UK, to the work being done in Toulouse, to finally, the work being done in Signes/Paul Ricard, where my M3W is at present. Good to see that common sense prevails.

Glad you got a good result. Sometimes Morgan do not react to contact via the dealer & you have to contact them direct to get action. Twice this has happened for me with them prevaricating or sitting on their hands till I contacted the myself by phone.
