Spent a couple of hours prepping the Healey for its run to the IOM this Friday. Topped up the steering box ( where does the oil go as it has no leaks?) and idler, greased the front end, levels and pressures checked, a little oil in the dash pots, some chain lube on the leaf springs and a few spares chucked in the boot along with some fuel! Sorted! Didn't fuss too much with the paintwork as its already well waxed and anyway looks like it could be a rainy few days.

It'll be a 4am start and a good 4 hr run up to Liver bird land, avoiding motorways to meet the other Wild Moggers and IOM here we come! woohoo

Don't forget your map of all the fuel stations Steve 😈 See you for breakfast on Friday!

Cleaned the car, checked the coolant.....the radiator has just a very slight weep, everything else done when serviced last week.
I've given up on the idea of fitting the Minilites for the trip. Tried a 195/65/15 tyre on one wheel. Plenty of clearance in wheelarches etc but the wheel will not fit easily into the spare well.....touches body at bottom. Weird as I looked at Ian's Plus4 and he has no problem there. So may have to go for 205/60/15s as the standard wheel. Jury is out on that at moment. Also the rear studs look a tad short, the Minilites must have a thicker centre than the Morgan alloys.

Could you have some sleeve nuts made up, and open up the holes in the Minilites?
