Poor show Morgan Motor company very poor show.

It is this attitude that will kill the reputation of our cars.

It is the response from a company who is out of touch and a feature of a company on the brink of failure?

(we have since been made aware from other folk that the PCB's are of poor quality and are £500 each!)

comments please mad

Was at the same Mog event as Rob over the weekend and spoke to the chap who said to me that the electrics have serious problems and they- not sure wether he meant factory or dealer- have not taken the 2016 new plus 8 he bought brand new - back to be fixed. I was shocked at what he said as had seen his car at previous meets. As people are saying on here you have to be careful as we don't know the details and whats gone on between him and factory and dealer !!!!

"If the factory is involved it should be via the dealer. This is just common practice in the motor industry."

Absolutely Jays, and isn't it interesting that Morgan customers often want to go straight to the manufacturer, instead of the dealer. As far as I am aware, the manufacturer has no legal responsibility to the retail customer, but the selling dealer most certainly does.

In a way, I guess it is Morgans own fault for being such an open company, and in the early days, they were the retailer as well, so customers aren't sure how to get satisfaction when there is a problem.

Yes well he has tried to contact his dealer by recorded delivery, presumably this is a follow up to initial phone calls.

So protocol has been followed - he is just being ignored and having spent 90k I'm not a bit surprised he wrote to MMC.

guru budster fly

Albeit understanding very well the source of the annoyance the only thing (besides getting in touch with the dealer/MMC) is to just take it easy(-ish) and guru

Dear all on Talk Morgan

Forums and social media (twitter and Facebook) have the following day yielded a response from the management at the factory, well done Morgan, you do wish to save your reputation.

I as a knowledgeable user of social media will help my Morgan colleagues and the wider community understand and address these issues, lets hope the problems are sorted promptly Morgan

below is the response from the owner of the car

Dear all,
Just had a phonecall from James at the factory. He doesn’t normally deal with these matters but I suppose he has seen your tweet. He apologized numerous times and said he will contact R****r to sort it out.
Many, many thanks. It would be this hour, exactly 7 days ago, that all parties would have received my letters and still no response until this phonecall
Fond regards
The owner of the 90K faulty unroad worthy car
