All of my "fixes" seem temporary... tying it tight to the frame... wrapping it up... has anybody just removed it? I'm thinking of doing that and trying super hard not to roll over

Maybe wrap it in pipe insulation or something similar....to deaden the noise?

I've wrapped it too. It's almost silent when I driving solo. Put 150 pounds in the passenger seat and it goes nuts. Obviously something to do with its vertical angle

Covered it, wrapped it, fastened it - nothing seems to work. It increases with a passenger, I agree.
When I get my car back I will try to attach something heavy, to change the resonant frequency.
