The bus pass is the least of my worries ... because of the same formula I have lost the equivalent of 5 years state pension.

When I retired in 2014 part of my planning included a "pension supplement" that my company scheme paid to males from the female retirement age, which for me should have been next year when I'm 61. Now I won't get it until I'm 66.

I am just hoping they don't push the state pension age back even further. In the unlikely event of there still being free bus passes I'll treat that as a bonus.

Ian,
my cynical view based on experience is the politicians will shaft us on pensions again. They can't help fiddling partly because it is so complex they know the average voter won't spot the pension raid.

I got my buss pass at 63, it is really good in London, useless in Salisbury!

I also scraped into the State pension at 65, the boss has to wait until she is 67!! As the female age was supposed to be 60 she is a mite pissed off.
