I know we all tolerate at some level the idiosyncrasies of owning a M3W, but there are a few on my new M3W that I find inexcusable in a bespoke toy costing this much, So I thought I would list the most annoying (to me) of these in the hopes that the product improvement lurkers from Malvern may be reading this forum. In no particular order, some initial observations... 1) I ordered the "Vintage bonnet catches" at some significant expense, but was surprised to see the bonnet still had the holes for the dzus fastners in it, closed-off with a pop-rivet and washer on the inside, and NOT PAINTED! It's not like I added these at the last minute, as they were on the original order from 9 months ago. I don't see why the holes had to be there in the first place, much less closed-off with un-painted pop-rivets: 2) I needed the pedals moved to the forward-most position, so don't you think Morgan could have sent an extra floor mat that would have safely worked with this pedal configuration, rather than the useless shorty one that slides around and gets caught in the pedal box? Does anyone remember the Toyota floor mat debacle? 3) My car has the standard tan leather, Yarwoood Honey. However, this turns out to be a slightly different (lighter) hue than the previous standard tan color. So I suppose Morgan has a bunch of the tan dash appliques to use up before they start making ones that match. It's pretty obvious it's a different color... 4) I find it incredible that the speedo is so far off in 2017 when it's trivial to get it right. Ah well, such as it is I suppose. I plan to replace the floor mats, the dash pads, live with the rivets, and hopefully re-calibrate the speedo. All in all I love it, but some of these minor, easily corrected items should just not be issues on such a car.

I agree with you ref the cowl holes. With the leather they should send you the correct colour rplavements. With the mat get some heavy duty velcro to hold in place.

1- There is no excuse for that. Unacceptable 2- that's what they offer. 3- tan or black, no option. 4- unacceptable

I agree with you.
Problems such as these should not be present on a car costing the amount you had to pay for it and wait 9 months to get your hands on.
However, your initial dis-appointment will be more than compensated by the amount of pleasure you will get from driving it and I think this is what MMC rely on. My car is now well over 4 years old (built late 2012 and number 385) and I have had most (if not all) of the problems encountered by us early takers (including needing a new engine at 1700 miles when an un-loctited screw in the air filter vibrated out and got sucked into one of the cylinders, bending the inlet valve and embedding itself in the piston crown). Reliability is of constant concern to me.
Having said that, I do still get immense pleasure from driving it but many of my friends (who, I must add, have not driven one or travelled as a passenger) continually tell me that I must be mad when you consider what other cars you could buy for less money than we paid for our M3W's, and not have to wait 9 months for them.

Hand-made is clearly not the same as well-made, and shame on your dealer for the PDI re holes in the bonnet and mismatched leather... probably some other M3W owner is suffering the reverse contrast!
PS: custom mats are probably not on the agenda (but a good idea for a Morgan option)

1 and 3 are unacceptable. I may be the first production car with the vintage latches, and I do not have unpainted rivets!

... 3- tan or black, no option. ... To be clear, I didn't order custom color leather - just the "standard tan", which I assumed would match. Seemed like a reasonable assumption...
