If they are the same as the the front they will be easy to modify.

The fronts are mounted on a length of studding with a hole down the centre of the studding for the wiring, the pod and the circular sleeve slide over the studding and are fixed with a nut inside the light pod.

I beleeve the original studs are still there, with an added extention, easily removed. just coil up the excess wiring if neded for MOT.

I do wish people would stop blaming the EU. Apart from any other thing the UK still has a vote in the EU Parliament and members in the Commission.

Vehicle passenger and pedestrian safety is a progressive thing. Most of these changes are not dissimilar to the Australian Design Rules compliant model. It is amazing to me that the M3W was able to be released in its original form as it is, without any doubt, a 3 wheeled car, not a 3 wheeled bike. Even without the EU UK regulators would sooner or later require a tightening up on many of these items. That big hot lump of metal out the front was always going to be a pedestrian hazard and and one can understand the reason for changes to the lighting positions.

The M3W is a very retro vehicle. Just think how many classic vehicles would be impossible to register today, under the rules of any country, for reasons of safety.

While I don't blame the EU, it is funny that the cooling fins are "too sharp" ... pretty sure that will not be hurting a pedestrian much vs the heat and mass of the engine!

And the Feds here in the USA are requiring all cars to have the "bright pack" (chrome jugs), also because the standard jugs are too abrasive.

And I wonder if the increased ride height has once again worsened the Bumpsteer problem, seeing as the 'fix' up till now (Empire aside) was only to minimise the impact by getting the steering arms horizontal again.

Such a shame....

HUH?? My USA 2017, delivered in late April, doesn't have the bright pack.

rear lights configuration confirm that all minor fender benders will leave you without rear lights.
