Wear Rubber Boots, use Rain Gear. My advice from "Rainy Seattle". Actually, other than Rubber Boots I carry nylon slip over pants and a light rain coat in the Summer and a Heavy Raincoat in the Winter.

Check the rear bonnet hinge bracket on the bulkhead. The fasteners need sealing or the water will come down the threads.

Also check the heater box drain tubes.

Actually Nordkapp is on an island , so technically it is not the northernmost Gents on the mainland , but I know what mean ;-)

Seems strange they would remove that bracket. My bonnet slid off by just releasing the front one. Didn't even think of the issue of removing it though. Good tip.

I have had a problem like you. I had to use a dremel and tec7 to make a good fix. I think it's a product failure or thinking. If you visit Bodø on your travel back I maybe can help you.

If the screws holding the rear bonnet hinge bracket penetrate right through the wood frame, as Dave says it can leak there although I wouldn't have thought to the extent you have. It is dropping just into the foot wells or on top of the gearbox cover? On to the back of the instruments or further forward?
The heater box draining can get either blocked or overwhelmed in heavy rain and cause water in the foot wells although there is usually evidence on the top of the gearbox cover by the radio. Water coming through under the screen seal and then back to the heated screen cable holes in the scuttle tends to fall right behind the instruments. Straight down into the foot wells and I'd suspect wiper gaskets or washer gaskets leaking or possibly top bulkhead gaskets. I've smeared Vaseline around gaskets etc in a successful temporary attempt at stopping leaks!
Good luck.....it's not a lot of fun
