A new Aldi has opebed very close to us... I must say, i very impressed!! We have been shopping there for a few weeks now and definitely saving money over our Sainsburys shop, and i would say, for 90% of stuff the quality/taste is very good!! How sensible i am these days!! cop

Booths are expensive. We have one in our village and spend far too much in there in addition to our weekly Sainsbury's shop.

We talk about trying Aldi but haven't go there yet.... doh

Aldi works for us but, being France there are still some staples, like wholemeal flour or double cream that are a mystery to them.

It would seem 'staples' are a mystery to all of France!! My Grandmother lives in Finistere (Chateau-neuf-du-faou) and on my visits i have to bring...Clotted cream
Double cream
Bacon
Sausages
Flour
Weetabix!!

I use Aldi for some things.
M&S Food Hall for a lot of things - swmbo requirement.
Morrisons/Aldi for limited food/booze items.
Don't have a Booth's, but if we're near Keswick, Booth's always gets a visit - wonderful deli counter smile plus there are some interesting cakes ( swmbo again, honest!! grin2 ).

Aldi/lidl for most things, unless tied to brand items. Can't beat their prices and quality. Somtimes you can even get a cement mixer in them. crazy3

.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.
