Wow, change is happening at Morgan - they've announced the new design before producing it (unlike the US headlights ) Hopefully it'll look far better in the flesh as based on the pictures I certainly wouldn't buy one. The lights on stalks, intake mods, exhaust balance pie, 4x4 (or 3x3?) ride height look more like a poorly thought out homebuilt kit car than a M3W. As for claiming brake disc guards, rectifier covers and chrome engine fins are making it safer for pedestrians - what a load of twaddle. On a purely selfish note it's great news for the second hand value of the "classic" M3Ws

Well Chris your first point is the big one.
I would not buy an M3W looking like this.
Sadly it's a hideous look.
I have had a narrow escape as I was very very close to putting down a deposit on a new one in March with a Sept 17 build ...to think I could have ended up with a £40k disaster.
For once my instincts were right!
Such a crying shame IMO.

I wonder how many Mk1 M3Ws have been produced in the 4 years since production started? I would guess around 2500.
Since buying my 2013 car I have been constantly upgrading to keep up with new car developments, but not interested in the latest upgrades forced on Morgan through bureaucratic red tape.
I am sure over time Morgan will do something to improve the look of those rear lights on stalks, we will get used to the changes and the car will sell. There is still nothing else out there like it!

Surprised there have been no pictures posted of this new version yet - or have I missed them? If not, are folk just speculating on description

Thanks Roger.
First impression is that side on view no too bad although climbing in may be more of a challenge. Those indicator stalks though - ridiculously long - surely they can't be serious? Moustache intakes ugly too.
Front lights moved forward because mudguards blinkered them? Having painted tips of mine yellow I did find that there was a minor reflection of headlight beam not seen when they were all black, but actually re-assuring around dusk - reminds me of prism reflector's fitted above vintage vehicle sidelights.

You've got to feel for both MMC and M3W customers already in the pipeline
MMC subsequently having to redesign what was a really pretty car with these reqmt changes being forced on them - with so much now invested in the production of M3Ws for the company's future and suddenly the need to suspend build In order to satisfy burocrats and politicians.
Fugly - So anyway anyone want an early re-chassis fully modded 2012/15/16 M3W yours now at only £45000 😜

Oh dear - had a look at the pictures on page 20 - depressing and then had a peak at the Allon white price tool - it'll cost the best part of £40K for a new one. A bit more with extras.
Now even if your well off, that is an awful lot of cash for what appears a less attractive product. shame
