Check out page 36 in the business section of today's Times for a pretty big (and positive) article on MMC, "Brakes off for family firm's electric future". I won't try to précis it, there's time for you to get online or rush out and buy a copy!

Very positive and worth a read, thanks for posting. Looks like 2016 was a much better year all round.

I have just read it and it sounds like Charles is back, am I correct in reading this? If so, so much the better however a profit of £700,000.00 on a turnover of £ 30 million, now I'm no business man but that doesn't seem great.
Even their aspirations to go for £35 million on turnover with a profit of £1.3million isn't terrific.
As for the electric cars, best I don't say anything about that !!

I'm not sure that margin comparisons with other industry sectors apply. What we have here is a small-volume car manufacturer which is making a profit. That's pretty impressive.

Any profit is impressive for MMC

I would doubt that. The way things like this are often done is with a loan over a long period. The P&L and balance sheet will show the detail.

Thanks for that Ian, I think that is great news. As to the financial aspect, I said I was no businessman and the article proves it. Morgan confused are claiming their best results for 4 years. "I know nothing" farmer
