Hi all. Finally took my4/4 , 1995, for a run ( 250 miles ish around wales). During heavy rain some water found its way to my ankles ( and my wife's), but was okay with the moderate rain. Any suggestions where to start looking for the way the water came in ?
Also , my temp gauge was a bit intermittent... again any suggestions greatly received.
And I need new wipers and I think I need to change the rubber hose from the petrol tank to the filler cap... best (as in cheapest) supplier?

For the leaks around the ankles I would look at where controls and cabling go through the firewall. Replace grommets or find the right silicon to seal them up.

When my temp gauge goes bonkers it's usually poor earthing.

And I will be able to tell you what a fuel filler hose costs, at least here, in about an hour!

Like the man says above, also through the door as it runs off the screen lower rubber.
wales roads are great(llanidloes to machynlleth over the mountain and moorland roads)

The fuel filler hose cost 20 euros at the dealer here and, at least on an early Mog, is quite easy to get at by removing the spare. So not a major problem or expense. Hope you sort the issues.

Regarding leaks,once water gets in it can run along wiring and scuttle bar and not come out directly below the entry point. Mine was coming in through loose window washer jets. They may look ok but if you can wobble them around then they need to be sealed & tightened. Dashboard off, remove washer water pipes and use a small box spanner to tighten. Fiddly! and then there's getting the pipes back on; I dumped the original plastic clamps and used small cable ties.
