Rog, I think you've solved my problem. At idle I'm showing in the mid-12's, and while running it maxes out about 13.4. I'll double check tomorrow morning, as it's about 98 degrees right now in the DC area. Thanks so very much.

My voltage running is 13.4, very briefly hit 13.5. Thanks for solving my problem. It won't be solved until you see close to 14.4 volts when driving. Check regulator connections, particularly the earth, and if no improvement change reg. Its possible that one of the three phase output's is down due to blown rectifier which would explain your symptoms. Showing 13.4 volts suggests some charge current, but a full volt down on what it should be with fully charged battery.

With the Diehard battery and the H-D rectifier I am running a solid 14.4 volts at speed. I use the JW Speaker LED headlamps and with them on at speed I get 14.3 volts. I double checked with my ammeter for confirmation and everything is dead on.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

My JMT battery has arrived and is fitted. My M3W now starts better than it ever has As the JMT battery is unbelievably light I decided to fix it in position with cable ties, rather than the steel strap. I also removed the charging cable for my Carcoon and put all these parts into the box the battery came in for safe keeping. You know what, the battery box now feels about the same weight as it did when it arrived with the battery in it!! A replacement Banner would have cost £70. The JMT cost slightly over £190. The JMT is more powerful and the benefit weight saving can only help on the hillclimbs and race circuits Well worth the extra £120 for me!

Is it a direct swap or do you have to shave anything off the battery?

Anything special about changing the battery? My dealer when I bought it said not to do it myself as there might be some problem starting it after you do. 2013 model.
