Well done sir. The things that make life a memorable and worthwhile experience are not always about how "good" they are or how much they are "worth it" in financial terms.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience at first, but very glad that you have seen past those issues.

I am curious to see what will happens to the S5 when the factory will run out of the BMW N62 engines.

Sa am I! I heard from a friend that a dealer had told him they are all gone now. Apparently there are BMW technicians regularly at the factory. I wonder what they'll come up with?

Well the engine really needs to come in standard crate specification to allow Morgan to benefit from the emission approval. Doing anything else would limit the markets it could be sold in and be painfully expensive I would imagine. Not to mention the potential for increasing the service/stability issues.

The next gen engine in the BMW V8 line was intended to fit into the same mounts for M5 etc. within the same generation of 5's if I remember correctly. I don't think the turbos would fit around the chassis rails unless a manifold was created and this would destroy the crate engine emissions approval benefits. Mind you if the desire were there an AR Racing option around this could be considered (cannot find emoticon for psycho) exting

Or as often speculated here the twin turbo 6 would be equally cool sound motor if not quite the naughty yob the V8 is. The open exhaust on the Skyline GTR33V I had sounded stunning as it revved. It was not the open drainpipe models you hear today but quite deep and clean.

I can't deny that I look around at other "interesting" toys when I have issues with my Aero (steering issues at the moment but hopefully soon sorted) but I always look back at that outrageous shape and know that whatever I get it'll never be the same ( a bit like having an ugly child I would suppose.......you love it......)

Rob, I hear what you are saying.

We bought the 2013 Geneva Coupe and I am sad to say we had a similar experience. My frustration got to the point where I sent a very rude text to Steve as the car had been at the factory for 9 of the 18 months we first owned it. It is still in our garage today but the effect it had on our opinion of the company was horrible. Bitter sweet is a good description.

Same fault not fixed four times and still not fixed today. I have to chuck the windscreen wipers away after two or three uses as they wreck themselves on the rubber surround as well as the bodywork.

As another owner said to me, they are mistresses not wives.

An effective engine. That I'd love on an effective car. Well...If I wanted an effective car I'd have bought a Porsche laugh2 (getting bored after one year, as it already happened me once)

Aren't we all ! Especially as Aero 8 and Aero plus 8 discription has to mean a v8 . Aero plus 6 twin turbo just doesn't sound right does it .

Geneva 2016 plus 8' The Green Godess' 4 side exits .
