I know this has been covered innumerable times before, but I thought I'd share this particular tip. It's a very rainy morning here at Hamwich Manor, so I thought I'd give my wheels a thorough clean. I did the usual, removal/soak with Muc-Off/Scrub/Hose off, and popped them back on the car for a detail clean. Which is when, whilst struggling with the rag on the end of the finger, I remembered the cheap paint brushes I picked up the last time we were in DB's (Other cheap supermarkets are available). The sponge on a stick things are absolutely perfect for cleaning between the spokes. Plus you get a load of other brushes, all of which are apparently 'suitable for professional use'  . All for £3.99, what a bargain!

A Morgan chap I met a few weeks ago suggested using electric toothbrushes with old/discarded heads. I've yet to try this.

If using brushes with metal bits holding the bristles in as a Nat. Trust volunteer conservator we always cover these metal bits with masking tape - stops scratches & chipping - if it works on several zillion pounds worth of antiques it should on Morgan wires which are infinitely more precious. Very impt. if painted or chrome wires.

Wheels off: MucOff, warm water, Autoglym wheel brush (designed not to scratch paint) then pressure wash on my 4/4's painted wires.

I've been doing just that for years but I thought it was so obvious that I haven't mentioned it to anyone.
A soft brush ( £1.00 a packet of 5 in your local 99p shop ) plus whatever cleaner you favour does the job every time. It's very gentle on painted spokes as I have a fear of pressure washing forcing water into the ends of the spokes.
Here for a good time not a long time!!

I've got one of those Autoglym wheel brushes, and very good they are too, but I found there were still nooks and crannies full of dirt even after using it - hence the second going-over with the foam brush. But I suspect that just goes to show I let my wheels get filthier than you do

watch out for the metal sleeve on the brush holding the bristles it may scratch paintwork
