History of the car. It's a 2013 and the first one in the Middle East. I took good care of her but it needs the upgrades. So i shipped it back to the factory for that reason. While it's all dissembled it's ok to replace any wear & tear parts as no one has worked on a m3w in Kuwait. I did only oils & filters at home.
-Maybe I could have left the clutch in but yet again everything was dissembled and i was okay with paying £396
That's pretty much it..I want to get it back to new.
The £100 an 1 labor broke the bank. Thats in Ferrari & Lamborghini territory. 28 hrs of work was charged. That's a bit excessive

Possibly not - I bet it would be a LOT more if you wanted work done in the Maranello or Sant' Agata factory facility rather than by any authorised Ferrari or Lamborghini service agent. That said, I completely understand your emphasis on preventative upgrades and maintenance - I would do the same if I lived so far from someone who could service it. I hope you have a great time on your tour.

£100 per hour is not Ferrari/Lambo money in the UK, more BMW/Mercedes.

Sorry but I can't understand what is it a " rotor 6 bolt fixing " for 200 £ Can anyone help me ? It's the rotor part 15, fitting around stator, part 18. This forms the alternator. This rotor differs from one used with earlier Harley style cush drive, hence need to change to match Centa coupling. Thank you Richard. So to put a Centa on a early 3W we have to consider the cost of the Centa kit and also of a new rotor. I didn't know it. Thank you very much for your help

According to Garage Magazine (a magazine for garage professionals) the average labour rate for franchise dealers is £99.00 per hour.

Q8 I think you'll find that the situation is worse than this as these are the average rates and include dealer and non-dealer rates. Some London dealers are charging upwards of £200 an hour.

The opinions are mine and mine alone. I take responsibility for them and the factory did not make any of these conclusions.
Secondly, I tied up the connection between the M3W I saw and the thread as frankly it was obvious. The factory did not give me any personal information or access to the invoice. This thread did that! .. Yeah right. You may want to edit your first post in order to "validate" your second one. "I heard about all the work you had asked to be done and was told that they had told you much of it did not need doing"

"I heard about all the work you had asked to be done and was told that they had told you much of it did not need doing" Factory view "much of the work did not need doing" Paul's view "the owner has gone over the top" These are not the same statement, and Paul has been clear on what is his (qualitative) viewpoint and what was the factory's (factual) assessment. Where's the issue?
