Hope you get it out in Dubai soon. Good job for you they now fit an urban cooling kit as standard!

It's the fan system that mounts behind the front cylinders and blows air through them at low speeds to prevent overheating

Aha, I was thinking to add oil cooler and/or fan cooling as the weather in our region is extremely high with heavy traffic.

Osama, member Q8 would likely be able to tell you of the trials & tribulations of running an M3W in the middle east.

More bad news from MMC regarding my Euro 3 build. I visited the factory on 6th July and stood next to my almost complete vehicle. There was then a frustrating 4-week delay until 10th August when the SVA inspection was due. It never happened.

Just heard today that my M3W “has been granted an appointment with Exeter VOSA for it’s SVA test at 8am on 23rd August”.

Then rather mysteriously they say “After we have passed the SVA test on 23rd, we will require another day to revert the vehicle back to ordered specification (there are some items which require removal and or replacement to comply with SVA regulations)”. I have no idea what that might be, there is nothing extraordinary in my spec.

So it will not get to me before the bank holiday. I paid a deposit last November to reserve a May build slot – so only 4 months late!

JRTOX hi,I paid my deposit last September and was given a Week 9 slot. Should have been 27th Feb.
No car yet either.
John.

Forgot to add, how much difference between deposit price and final price?

That's a quick turnaround for Morgan, I paid my deposit in 2011 and got my car in February 2013.

I'm a little surprised that the Factory are making public what we already suspected would happen, in reverting cars 'back' to ordered spec once SVA was passed. And this is only for the previous EU3 spec cars too.

Given the massive, over-inflated hoo-ha over Dieselgate and car manufacturers' environmental integrity, I'm amazed that MMC are even advertising a retro-fit EU3-alike kit to return the cars to (admittedly a sensible, logical, common-sense) pre-EU4 spec, as it is entirely against the spirit and intent of the regulations. I know these might be fitted by the dealers (options which can be less SVA test specific), but this is still ultimately Factory sanctioned and likely to attract the interest of angry do-gooders one day.

I think the Factory might do well to keep these changes slightly lower profile for a while, as I'd hate to see something blow up that takes 3 Wheeler Ltd out of circulation, as it were....

Spec it will have to pass is
http://www.gov.uk/government/publications/motorcycle-single-vehicle-approval-inspection-manual.

Expect that the things that will need changing post test are rear light position, wheel spinners, windscreens etc.

John
