Has he been happy with it ?
They seem to have tied up a winning combination of power train together with a proven transmission system on the face of it.
I was very impressed with the build and engineering quality on the one I saw at the Motorcycle show in Exeter 20 years ago, they are still producing so it sounds good.

Always liked the Grinnal Scorpion.
BMW engine.
A good take for a modern 3W.
Not sure if they ever made anything other than v low volumes tho.

The standard is the 1200 BMW 4 inline I think giving 189bhp or so I would think it's pretty handy.
I've only ever seen one other on the road so I guess they are low volume.

My pal's is earlier - K100 motor/box so nominally 1000cc.
I repaired the ECU once.
Been replaced a couple of years later. He's had the car for at least 10 years, probably more like 15.
Other than damp in the ECU it's been a reliable car for fun trips.
