They must continue to find the balance between satisfying the niche, and meeting legal requirements. So far they have done this very well.
As a low volume British manufacturer I would hope that room can be found in the future legislation to allow them to continue to build cars. But nothing is certain.

There is a bit of a cultural difference here. In the UK the govt is relaxed about people modding cars or even building them from scratch. In much of the EU that is illegal, and the EU now mandates that car ECUs cannot be reprogrammed to get more power of to circumvent EU pollution laws. Without the UK inside the EU arguing for sensible systems, I expect cars without ABS, etc to be banned altogether.
I wonder if the local Highways & councils could arrange some DRS zones out of corners onto a straight road..?
Hmmmm..
They already do. I always really enjoyed using the Lotus go go round the outside of cars and bikes on roundabouts. Ignoring the speed limits in built up areas is a mugs game but there is nothing to say you have to slow down at all for a roundabout.

I just can't get excited about electric generally and especially not in a Morgan. Can't see the point of some silent bone shaker it's the smelly noisy engine that makes it what it is.

Ditto Paul. I had a long run in a Tesla. Great for a business car, soothing and relaxing. It left me cold.

Keep the electric cars for urban areas where they will be more effective. I'd have one as a local-ish runabout but not at the present purchase costs and depreciation vagaries.

The likes of Tesla are fine when you can write it down to a company but for personal use they are a very expensive experiment. When the electrics reach reasonable proportions in range and costing I'll consider using one as a shopping trolley but keep the Plus 8 for enjoyment. p.s. Driving electric must be like bathing in a wet suit .

Given they have allowed the M3W to be released under old regs perhaps this is a good thing. Once we all buy electric appliances as transport the demand for "crazies" like the M3W to provide joy on those other days will be all the more needed.
I see this driving the long term price of the remaining petrol cars up and up. A little bit like the first film in the mad max series "last of the petrol V8's" . Now that was a good film.
It will make more accessible stuff like FocusST and Fiat 500 Abarth stand out even more. The only way they are getting the Mogs off me will be in a last will and testament.
